As part of the “Accessible Emergency Preparedness Campaign,” the AOA has produced a guide entitled, Preparing for Emergencies and Disasters: A Step-by-Step Guide and Checklist-Accessible Version for Miami-Dade County.

The Campaign was a community-wide program created in March of 2013. It was designed to help all vulnerable populations to understand how to seek help and prepare for all types of emergency situations.

In partnership with the Miami-Dade County Office of Emergency Preparedness, the AOA has developed the Emergency Information Kit which includes special instructions to guide vulnerable individuals with the basic activities of preparedness in the most accessible way possible.
